Uno and the Missing Left Shoes

Uno and the Case of the Missing Left Shoes

Uno had a collection.

Not sticks.
Not balls.
Not treats.

Left shoes.

Ten of them.

All different.
All precious.
All left.

Uno lined them up every morning at the playhouse by the slide.
He counted them carefully.

One… two… three…”
Ten left shoes.
Perfect.

But then Uno heard something.

A whisper carried through the forest.
From the bushes.
From the birds.
From a squirrel who definitely knew too much.

“Someone is stealing left shoes.”

Uno froze.

His ears stood straight up.

“STEALING?” Uno gasped.

This was serious.

Uno gathered everyone together.

“Listen!” Uno said.
“My left shoes are in danger.
They must be protected with your lives.”

Tank blinked.
JJ tilted his head.
Tuffie stretched and yawned.

Lexus asked, “Uno… are you sure?”

Uno nodded very seriously.

“I am ten left shoes sure.”

The Guard

Before playing hide-and-seek, Uno chose a guard.

Someone he trusted.

Someone responsible.

Someone who said,
“I’ve got this.”

Uno gave one last warning.

“Do not blink.
Do not nap.
Do not dream about treats.”

The guard nodded.

Uno ran off to play.

The Feeling

While hiding behind the big oak tree, Uno stopped.

His tail froze mid-wag.

Something was wrong.

Very wrong.

Uno sniffed the air.

His left shoe senses tingled.

“The collection…” Uno whispered.

The Rampage

Uno sprinted back to the playhouse.

And there it was.

The guard.

ASLEEP.

Shoes unprotected.
Dreaming peacefully.

Uno gasped.

Uno stomped.

Uno transformed.

Uno became the Unhinged Tank.

He zoomed.
He barked.
He demanded answers.

“WHERE. ARE. MY. LEFT. SHOES?”

The Truth in the Trees

High above, in the treehouse by the slide…

The squirrels.

Holding left shoes.
Wearing left shoes.
Laughing so hard they could barely breathe.

“He believed us!” one squirrel squeaked.
“All ten!” another squealed.

Uno looked up.

The squirrels froze.

Slowly…
they dropped the shoes.

One by one.

Thunk.
Thunk.
Thunk.

Ten left shoes.

Returned.

Uno’s Law

Uno gathered his shoes.

He counted.

Ten.

He smiled.

Then he said:

“Hide-and-seek is fun.
Trust is important.
But never underestimate squirrels.”

The guard woke up.

Everyone laughed.

The squirrels laughed the loudest.

Uno lined up his shoes again.

And this time…

He slept on them.

🐾 Uno’s Law #?

If you have ten left shoes,
protect them wisely.
And always check the treehouse.
