Serena Noreen Brown turns careful observation into stories that help people understand.

Serena did not arrive at educational storytelling through a traditional route. She learned to read systems first—serving as a U.S. Navy Electrician’s Mate and building a career across marine electrical work, shipbuilding, technical training, and project environments.

In those settings, assumptions can hide the real problem. Good decisions begin by slowing down, identifying what can be observed, comparing the evidence, and choosing the next action.

Years later, Serena recognized that children use the same process when they study an illustrated story. The posture of a character, the distance between friends, a change in expression, or one detail in the setting can reveal what words have not yet explained. That connection became the foundation for MeMe JJ & Friends and Visual Narrative Emotional Comprehension—VNEC.
