The Forest of Friends was deep in a serious game — paws flying, tails wagging, and competitive growls echoing through the trees.
Tank, JJ, Tuffie, and MeMe were locked in one of their favorite games… when Tank suddenly froze.
His eyes locked on the bushes.
A flash of fur.“Who’s there?!” Tank barked, full-on Hulk Mode activated.
Out stepped a long, lanky little creature with wide eyes and quick feet.
“Uh… sorry,” the stranger said. “I didn’t mean to interrupt. I just… it looked like fun.”
Tank wasn’t having it.
“You’re not welcome here,” he growled.But before anyone else could speak — MeMe gently stepped forward.
“Tank,” she said in that soft voice that calms even the loudest hearts. “We don’t treat guests like that.”
Tank’s muscles relaxed. A little.
MeMe turned back to the stranger. “What’s your name?”
“Ricky. Ricky Ticky,” he said quietly.
“And why are you here?”
Ricky swallowed. “I just wanted to play. It looked like you were having fun.”
Tank snorted. “Play? No.”
But then Tuffie — always watching — tilted her head.
“He looks harmless,” she said. “Besides, Tank, you’ll need someone on your team. The next game is kickball.”
Tank sighed… and the game continued.
Just like that, the Forest had a new player.
