We connect teachers and students by using shared stories as a bridge for meaningful conversation.
Each MeMe, JJ & Friends story introduces a relatable character and moment that reflects real emotions children experience but don’t always know how to express. Instead of starting with the child, teachers and students begin with the story — creating a neutral, safe space where everyone can participate.
The stories model noticing rather than judging. Characters observe changes, express concern, and respond with care. This gives teachers natural language they can use in the classroom and helps students learn how to recognize emotions in themselves and others without pressure or labels.Reflection prompts and SEL companion activities extend the story into guided discussion. These tools help teachers ask thoughtful questions, include quieter students, and encourage empathy, understanding, and connection at a pace that feels safe for everyone.
Through shared storytelling, consistent characters, and gentle reflection, teachers and students build a common emotional vocabulary — strengthening trust, communication, and belonging in the classroom.
